Our web site is now live launched by Tracy Kennedy
Friday night 5th June 2015 saw the official launch of www.Castletownberegaa.ie in Towomey’s Bar when Cork Gaa Assistant Chairperson Tracey Kennedy made the journey to town to launch the site.
Chairman Martin Hegarty opened the launch by welcoming everyone and thanking them for their support. He went on to stress how important communication is in a fast moving world and with a huge amount of emigration it is a great way for people to keep in touch with the club. He praised the work Aaron Byrne of the Web in Castletownbere and Anne Marie Cronin club Pro has put into building and designing the site uploading content and photos. He said it will be evident it was a fresh modern site which was easy to use.
In her address Tracey Kennedy said a web site is the clubs “shop window” it was where people could go to keep up to date with club news and events. She also said it was a great way to save information for future generations as the record will always be there. She also stated the site is only as good as the content which it contained and it was important for team managements and trainers to feed information to the club PRO. Tracy said there was a huge amount of work put in by Aaron and Anne Marie and it was a site she would be using as an example to other clubs.
Anne Marie and Aaron then took people through the site and explained it’s easy to navigate features and information. Anne Marie thanked Aaron for his time, patience and hard work over the previous three weeks. She finished by saying she would recommend him to anyone who was thinking about building a website.
Tracey was then presented with a picture of Castletownbere by Anne Marie as a “thank you” for taking the time to visit our club
The night finished with food being provided by Cronin’s Hideaway people looking through the site and photos especially the old ones.
