Castletownbere played Urhan at home on Tuesday last in the Donie  Harrington (Smith) Cup Competition in damp conditions. Castletownbere dominated for the first ten minutes scoring six unanswered points but Urhan came back into it scoring their first point from a free, followed closely by another. ‘Town answered with two more points, Urhan retaliated with three in a row,then Castletown upped the ante scoring three points in a row also.The first half finished on a score of 0/11 to 0/5. The second half saw Urhan open with a point from a free, three points from ‘Town followed. Urhan floated another over the bar, Castletown matched it and both teams were on a roll. Two more points apiece were added to their tally but then suddenly, the ball hit the back of the Urhan net. Urhan scored another point before the final whistle but the gap was to large to bridge and the match ended on the final score of 1/17 to 0/10.
